ASSA Outstanding Service Award

This aware is to recognize those persons who have served the ASSA in a diligent and extraordinary manner, but who do not currently qualify for other recongitions or Life Membership.

Criteria: Awardee must be an ASSA member for a minimum of ten (10) years, must show dedicated service and contribution to the ASSA, as demonstrated by extraordinary performance of job tasks for a minimum or five (5) consecutive years. As many as two awards may be given out in a year, or none may be given out. This award was first presented in 2008 to Pat Ferrell, for her work as ASSA Historian.

2009 Recipient - Robert "Bob" Miller, for his continued work on the ASSA Handbook since 1980, pedigree archivist

2008 Recipient - Pat Ferrell, for her work as ASSA historian
